As a reminder, all departmental-owned computers, monitors, peripherals, and other IT equipment must first be approved by the Office of Academic Computing (OAC) before purchase. This includes the following:
- Computers, including desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, and other related equipment
- Computer-related accessories and other peripherals, including external hard drives, printers, scanners, and video recorders
- Wireless devices, sensors, trackers, and other IoT devices that are used for research purposes
- Desktop software, including paid, commercial licensed, open-source, and free
- Online subscriptions or SaaS products that are used for research purposes
